DELIVERY

How long will my order take?

Your ring will be made especial for you and so will take 3 - 4 weeks to be made & dispatched. The 3-4 weeks is from size confirmation. If you have requested a sizing kit, this will add a little time to the final delivery.
I am able to accommodate some speedy orders and I hold a sample of most of the rings, if you need a ring in a rush please do ask.

You will be emailed the dispatch date for your order and and once posted you will be emailed delivery/tracking details.

Where I am custom-making you a one-off piece, it will always take a little longer to make, depending upon what you have requested. I say to allow 3 to 6 weeks and you will be provided with a production time-scale.

If you require your order for a special date please make sure you let me know by writing this in the "Notes to Seller" section at the check-out.

How will my order be delivered?

UK Deliveries:

UK Mainland standard deliveries are sent by Royal Mail either 1st Recorded or Special Delivery. 1st Recorded is a 24 hour service but not guaranteed,  Special Delivery will arrive the next day before 1PM, these can both be tracked online.

UK Mainland Saturday delivery I still use Royal Mail Special Delivery which is before 1pm. However, a Saturday delivery incurs a charge of £25. There is no delivery on bank and public holidays.

If Royal Mail finds no one available to sign for the delivery on their first attempt, they will either leave a card notifying you of this with instructions on how to proceed or attempt a second delivery on the next business day. If you have elected to have your order delivered to a business premises, Royal Mail will usually leave the package or calling card with reception.

I will inform you as to the expected dispatch and delivery date when I process your order, and once the parcel is sent out for delivery I will send you your tracking number. If you live in a remote or difficult to access area, please inform me at the time of purchase, this may make your delivery time longer.

International Deliveries:

International Deliveries are sent by Royal Mail International Signed For delivery. If the courier finds no one available to sign for the delivery on their first attempt, they will either leave a card notifying you of this with instructions on how to proceed or attempt a second delivery on the next business day. If you have elected to have your order delivered to a business premises, the courier will usually leave the package or calling card with reception. Time scales for delivery outside the UK vary from country to country. I will inform you of the dispatch date when I have processed your order, and when ready to dispatch I will send you your tracking number. If you need your order quickly on a specific day, please contact me for for the Courier Service.

For orders outside the European Union

Delays may be incurred as items go through your country's Customs and Excise and you will be liable for any local customs duty, import taxes or costs due on your purchase. This is completely out of my control.

For USA customers, if you do get charged please follow the instructions on the card you receive with delivery.

International Express Deliveries

For International Express Deliveries, I will use a Courier Service who will deliver on local business days, excluding bank & public holidays. They do not deliver to P.O. Boxes. If the courier finds no one available to sign for the delivery on their first attempt, they will either leave a card notifying you of this with instructions on how to proceed or attempt a second delivery on the next business day. If you have elected to have your order delivered to a business premises, the courier will usually leave the package or calling card with reception. I will need to provide the courier service with your contact telephone number.

Delivery to the USA, Canada and most of Europe is within 1+ day and the rest of the world should be delivered within 2+ working days. Once the parcel is sent I will email you with your tracking number.

How much will delivery cost? Free International deliver on most orders

Our Delivery charges are calculated by weight / dimension in relation to where you live in the world. You can find this information in the Delivery Info section of the website.

I live outside of the European Union, how will this affect my delivery?

For any orders that are delivered outside the European Union, delays may be incurred as items go through your country's Customs & Excise and you will be liable for any local customs duty, import taxes or costs due on your purchase. These are decided on a case by case basis by your own government at the point of entry to your country and are outside of my control.

If you are charged any local duties or taxes, your country's Customs should try to contact you by phone (and on some occasions email) to advise you of the charges prior to delivery. Due to the volume of imports they will usually only make one attempt to contact you. If they cannot get in contact with you, the goods may be released from customs on the condition that the duties or taxes are paid on delivery. In this instance, the courier will present you with an invoice outlining the customs charges on the first delivery attempt. If the charges cannot be paid on the first delivery attempt, the courier should leave the invoice with you and a second delivery attempt should be made on the next working day when you will again be required to pay the charges. Import charges can usually be paid by cash, cheque or credit card but this varies from country to country.

Can I have my order delivered to an address that is different to my card's billing address?
No, unfortunately I am not allowed to send goods that have been purchased online or over the phone to any other address other than the purchasing card address.

RETURNS/EXCHANGE

What happens if I buy something and I don't like it?
You can return your purchase within 14 days from receipt of your order, for a refund, exchange or credit note, in line with our online purchasing

UK and International sales

For online sales from the USA and the Rest of the World, the same terms and conditions apply. 

Please note that you will be responsible for all delivery charges. Don't forget to mark the shipping documents / waybill with Return of British Goods if you are returning the goods from outside the EU. Otherwise you will be liable for any British customs duties or taxes charged on your returned item.
What if I don't know the correct ring size to order for a surprise gift?

This is a common scenario, especially with engagement rings, so don't worry you are not alone!! It is very unlikely that you will be able to guess someones exact ring finger size. When you add the item to your basket, write in the 'notes to seller' box that you are unsure about the ring size.

Generally, we will send you an average ring size, which you can present as your surprise gift. Then you or the recipient may send it back to us in accordance with the returns procedure detailed under my Money Back Guarantee and I will re-size it or exchange it for one at the correct size, for free.

To take advantage of the free re-sizing or exchange you must return the ring to me in its unworn, pristine, re-saleable condition with original packaging and receipt within 14 days (if for any reason you don't think you will be able to return the ring to us within the 14 day returns period please contact me at info@AnthonyAlferev.co.uk before you place your order. Customer service is one of my top priorities and I try to be as flexible as I can. I will deal with these enquiries on a case by case basis) from the date you receive your goods, in accordance with my Terms and Conditions. You will be responsible for all delivery and re-delivery charges.

Some items, such as my Carbon Fibre, gemstone and titanium rings, or those that are too many sizes out, cannot be resized. Therefore it is essential that you or the recipient return the ring for the correct size before wearing it. If I have to re-make the ring at a larger size and this requires the use of additional materials, I may have to charge for these, but you will be contacted before any work commences and informed of the charge.

If your ring is bespoke or has been customised in any way (e.g. with engraving) I am unable to exchange it and may not be able to re-size it. If I can re-size it, I will quote for this on a case-by-case basis.

I have worked out a system to get the size of your ring perfect. It's an important purchase to be worn for a long time, take the time to get it right .

  • If you have no idea of your size - Use my sizing tool. This is a PDF that you print off. Place your order to the size that the sizing tool says and in the notes to seller at checkout request a sizing kit. The sizing kit is posted out for free and contains approximately 5 rings of the same width and inner shape as the ring ordered. Try these rings at home, once you are 100% happy with the size let me know and I will make your ring. (I do ask that you send the sizing rings back) 
  • You've been measured at a jewellers - This is a great way to get your finger size but I would highly advise still requesting one of my sizing kits. Jewellers can measure differently from each other. I measure all of my rings to a centre measurement (the smallest circumference inside the ring) some jewellers measure to leading edge. Sadly over the last few years with the increase of internet sales, I have had many incidents of jewellers giving a false reading of size, if they think you will be shopping elsewhere. Due to the nature of the materials I use, carbon fibre & Titanium, resizing can be difficult and in some cases not possible. Try being measured at 2+ jewellers so as to be sure.

I want to purchase a ring but the width/material I'd like is not listed

Because all rings are made to order I can accommodate most changes, with so many variants I'm not able to list them all but as long as it is possible to make it I'm very happy to.

There are some occasions were a width or material will not be possible. In order to keep my Lifetime Warranty, there has to be some restrictions on how thin or wide a section of the ring can be.
